12 Things We Should Learn From Children

Children have the ability to infect us with their enthusiasm, their desire to live, their joy, their way of adapting to changes with ease … They are the drive to live, the desire to know and the greatest example of daily fun.

We have to learn so much from them, we should even go back to being a bit of a child! That’s why later, we share 12 things that we should all learn from them.

With how small you are you teach me so many things

“With how small you are, my child, you teach me so many things. You make me feel that the world is much more beautiful, more fun and interesting and less complicated than I sometimes think. You are the one who makes me feel how important it is to laugh at any nonsense.

I know that your love is sincere, without masks, just like your funny words that sometimes do not make sense but at the same time have all the sense in the world.

You teach me to see everything with different eyes … with transparent and sincere eyes that are not yet contaminated by the conventions and clichés of the society that confines us.

With you simply, everything is different, new, unexpected, exciting! you just want to, you live the moment intensely as if it were the last and all that makes me feel new, alive, renewed ”.

12 Things We Should Learn From Children

1. Get excited

Do not stop getting excited as a child with a new job, a new love or new friends … Even the little things of the day to day or your achievements.

The illusion together with the motivation are the engine that leads you to achieve your dreams, do not forget it.

2. Don’t be afraid of the new

It is always better to regret what you have done than what you have not done. Do not allow yourself phrases like: “What if I had gone to that appointment with that person that I liked so much?”, “What if I had said yes to that job that scared me so much?”

Hypotheses are not reality and sometimes a little risk is necessary to continue. Don’t limit yourself and move on.

3. Have fun like a kid

Leave behind the prejudices or the one that will say how children do. They enjoy, laugh and have fun because they are not aware of what they will say, but of living in the moment.

Enjoy the little things, smile to welcome the new day and add a touch of humor to your routine.

4. Be curious

When we lose our curiosity it is as if we die a little  inside. Be curious to learn new things, to discover places to visit… Curiosity contributes to making us more fulfilling.

5. Express yourself sincerely

Adults are often not free to speak. We feel fear or shame at the rejection of our words, what they will say, to bother.

Also when we always say what others want to hear, we do not feel good inside. Free yourself by expressing yourself with sincerity … like a child!

If we are not sincere, we will not allow others to know us, and not even ourselves.

6. Seize the moment

They say “Take advantage of the good times that the bad ones come alone.” Live, enjoy, take advantage of your leisure moments.

Many times when illness knocks on the door or when a loved one dies, we become aware of many things. Perhaps we should be more aware that “here” we are just passing through …

7. Love without fear

Why are we so afraid of love? Children love without more. They don’t think that their pet will one day die or that their childhood sweetheart will be just a memory when they grow up.

Don’t think about tomorrow and enjoy today. Love is one of the most beautiful things that can be lived, why does it scare you so much? Are you afraid of suffering? Everything passes, also the suffering … but he thinks: “That they take away the dance from me!”

8. Adapt to changes

Children are true masters of adapting to change. They can change residence, school and even country and nothing happens!

So, if we are the adults, what will happen to us? Changes always renew and enrich our life.

9. Do not be afraid to fall, then you will get up

Have you seen a child fall and not get up? Well, life is the same. Many times it is only our mind that limits us.

Phrases such as “I’m not going to do this because and if I don’t get it!” … They only anchor us where we are, but they do not drive us to advance along our path …

Fall to get up again, nothing happens!

10. Do not listen to the elderly … like children

We pay too much attention to those around us. But what do you want?

Listen to your heart and act as you are.

11. Ask without fear or shame

What’s wrong with asking? Do you think you look silly if you ask? Not at all, just the opposite. Asking shows our humility and our desire to know.

12. Rest, don’t force the machine

When children are tired they go to sleep … not resting often makes us fall into chronic stress that does not allow us to live. Take a breath to recharge.

Conclusion: Go back to being a child and do not lose the illusion! How to get it? Having a child always close …
