Laughter Is The Best Conductor Of Happiness

Laughter is the best driver of happiness

Laughter, along with kindness, is one of the most wonderful spontaneous reactions that we have and, in addition, it is one of those beautiful characteristics that differentiate us from other living beings. When we really laugh, we externalize the deepest part of the heart and show the soul from its purity: there is no expression that suits us better and says more than we feel.

Neruda wrote:  laughter is the language of the soul. I clarify: laughter is one of the most sincere tools that allow us to communicate, but not the only one. There is the look, the caress or even the cry: sometimes the one who laughs the most is the one who cries the most inside.

What is totally true is that when we laugh unconsciously we are using a personal language with which we inform the rest of more things than we think. Especially a very general one: even if sadness or anxiety invades you, if you laugh, you live, the soul lives.

If you laugh, you live, the soul lives

Laughing out of nervousness, laughing out of great happiness, laughing with humor, laughing out of nostalgia, laughing out of complicity … Laughter is infinite and its ways of manifesting are also infinite.

Regardless of the feeling that surrounds you, if you manage to laugh it is a sign that you are alive and that your soul lives : even the smiles that hurt (those that are on the border between grief and courage without becoming laughter) place you actively in the world.

A healthy laugh is the reflection of a healthy emotional and physical balance

Since we are about five months old, when we laugh, the brain orders the secretion of endorphins that act with a similar effect in the body to that of morphine. In this way, the vital balance greatly appreciates it: the negative energy gives way to a positive state of mind with a variable duration that we transmit to those who are around.

Among others, laughter fights states of sadness as well as daily stress. It also raises self-esteem and confidence in ourselves, reducing shame or fear. We can even say that it strengthens the immune system: the lungs, brain and heart appreciate it, as blood pressure decreases and muscles relax.

Of course, we cannot forget that laughing out loud is a good plan to complement a diet that seeks to burn calories or tone the skin. For all this, there is laughter therapy under which is the idea that a healthy laugh shows an equally healthy emotional and physical balance.

Your laugh, in addition to communicating, leads to happiness

I said at the beginning that it was something wonderful and one of the fundamental reasons is that laughter not only speaks for each one or brings personal benefits, but also leaves its influence on those who perceive it. Thus, laughter is capable of calming, healing, encouraging, cheering or even hugging.

It is said that there are 180 types of laughs. There are those that come out of your soul and stick into someone’s soul forever, and other opportune ones that vanish into thin air after having contributed something momentary. There are also those that define you and identify you to others or those that cause others to join in the fits of laughter.

Innocent, surprised, cynical, compromising, shy, overflowing, stifled, friendly, mocking. Any kind of laughter communicates and is part of our deepest language.
